Stages of a dental implant surgery:

  • Consultation – the implant doctor will carefully analyze the oral cavity to determine whether or not the patient is a candidate for this treatment and what will be the optimal sedation / anaesthesia technique; he can also recommend basic dental x-rays or blood tests (complete blood count, bleeding times, clotting times, ESR, etc.);
  • Interpretation of results – the implant doctor will analyze the results based on which they approve or not the intervention for the insertion of dental implants;
  • Anaesthesia – can be either local or conscious sedation (intravenous injection of a painkiller substance which makes it possible to perform several dental treatments in one session);
